Building on a decade of experience in microplate washing, the Columbus Pro sets a new per-formance and reliability standard for a range of applications.Its advanced design combines full control over critical wash parameters such as minimum residual volume with unique on-line process control functions via Fill Verification option and Liquid Level option. For a minimum residual volume of less than 2 µlper well, the Columbus Pro provides the sophisticated Crosswise aspiration function, using multiple aspiration points per well. To guarantee best wash-efficiency without compromising throughput, Overflow washing replaces tedious, sequential aspiration- and dispense steps with a single procedure. Maximum reliability For uncompromised performance and excellent reliability, the Columbus Pro uses the latest gen-eration of pump technology. The Columbus Pro comes with a unique, leak-resistant aspiration pump with magnetic-drive technology and a high-performance dispense pump. Regulatory compliance As part of the Columbus family of microplate washers, the new Columbus Pro for Enzyme ImmunoAssays (EIA) in 96-well format, was designed to meet the EU Directive 98/79/EC for in- vitro diagnostics. Additionally, the new WinWash Clinical software was designed to meet the requirements for electronic records and electronic signatures.
