The Spectrafuge 24D maintains the best features of the popular Spectrafuge 16M and adds a few new ones to make it the best deal in the high performance microcentrifuge market. New to the Spectrafuge 24D is the digital control panel. Large displays show time and speed while parameters are set precisely with easy-to-turn knobs. Automatic g-force conversion allows the display to be switched between speed and g-force at the touch of a button. An upgraded, more powerful motor has been installed in the Spectrafuge 24D. It is extremely quiet and provides fast acceleration and deceleration with the new higher capacity rotor. The rotor has a solid aluminum design to contain samples in the event of tube failure. Like the Spectrafuge 16M, this model features an airflow pattern designed to keep samples cool and minimize wind noise, even at maximum speed.
